a place of rest and respite

Each student is to work on submitting a total of NOT MORE THAN FOUR (4) A1 size presentation boards in landscape orientation.

The submission of thorough planning (site analysis and synthesis), architectural, and interior drawings (sketches, design statement, developed final design, perspectives); and a simple drawing of the technicalities, and building services detailing (selection of materials and construction methods chosen);

The proposed design MUST CONSIDER THE ALL ELEMENT IN THE SITE ANALYSIS (PROJECT 4A) i.e: direct sunshine, site climate, soil condition, accessibility, topography of the selected site.

THE SIZE OF THE SITE SHOULD NOT BE MORE THAN 40m2
THE SIZE OF THE FOLLY SHOULD NOT BE MORE THAN 15m2 + 5m2 (FOR OPEN DECK)

                                                               4C : MODEL FOLLY 1:25

Based on the final presentation drawings prepared in 4B, a scale 1:25 final model is to be built; with surrounding site elements Students are allocated only one (1) week to plan, execute, and complete the construction of the model. Model must be fixed on a wooden base. Materials selection are optional.

PROJECT 3 : MY ID IN 3D

                                                     3A : FORM , SPACE AND ORDER
                                                                    SCULPTURE

- To introduce the student about the relationship of form and space in architecture thus implementing     basic design principles (form, space & order)
- To challenge the student to communicate their idea through 3-dimensional (3D) form
- To emphasized on a good mind-eyes-hand coordination technique and planning in using basic             geometrical patterns to form an artistic masterpiece
- To expose the student about model making techniques

                                                         3B : MY 3D IN PROJECTION

This project is planned to expose and introduce the students to the basic projection drawings used in the architectural representation works. Those in Figure 1 are the orthographic multi-views (multiview), axonometric single-view (paralines), oblique single-view, and central single-view. From all four, the most used are the orthographic multi-view, and the axonometric.

PROJECT 2 : SEVEN SHADES OF RUMAH HAJAR KUNDUR

 to expose the student about rendering techniques in architecture in order to help
student to understand the building texture, materials and shadows
 to introduce the student about colouring in architecture presentation and how colour
help in conveying the design ideas and architectural elements
 to challenge student ability to observe architectural element in Traditional Malay
House.

 1st art work: Black ink pen (Hatching/cross hatching technique)
 2nd art work: Black ink pen (stippling technique)
 3rd art work: Pencil (Blending technique)
 4th art work: Marker (monochromatic colour)
 5th art work: Watercolour (warm colour)
 6th art work: Watercolour (cool colour)
 7th art work: Full colour (watercolour OR pencil colour)

PROJECT 1 : ARCHITECTURE LETTERING

PROJECT 1 : ME , MYSELF AND I

OBJECTIVE

-  To challenge the ability of the student to introduce him or herself in writing form, and graphically         composed.
-  To prepare the student to communicate (by delivering a summary of all information about                     themselves) effectively to the readers through a simple, concise, and short write up.
- To emphasized of a good hand-writing technique; therefore to increase students skills in                        communicating (to convince, to make understand, and to influence) their ideas to others (future          clients, partners, and team members) even without he/she is present.
